about

This faux jazz ballad marks the middle of the CD — a palate cleanser for the ear. Nat Dove, the celebrated blues pianist, accesses his equally renowned years of jazz playing for this track. The smooth jazz chanteuse singing backup vocals is actually the guitarist and bouzouki player for the Celtic trio Banshee in the Kitchen. DNL's wife, gita, can be heard chortling in the background because she knows that, strange as they lyrics sound, they are absolutely true.

lyrics

Set the River Thames on fire?
I am the River Thames on fire.
I've been burning all my life
and if you don't believe me, ask my wife.
